Sunday Sermon: Start with God's Why / by Donna Olivia Owusu-Ansah

Why has God gifted us? Why are we here? My sisters and brothers, before you embark on any ministry, and along the way, ask yourself these question: Why am I doing this? Why are we doing this? The answer should always be, “I’m doing this to equip saints for ministry, to edify unify, mature, and grow the Body of Christ.”

I was listening to a podcast this week and I heard someone say, “Working hard for something we don’t care about it called stress; Working hard for something we love is called passion.” I would take it further for you and I, as disciples of Christ. Serving diligently for our own agendas breeds stress and disobedience; Serving diligently for God’s why cultivates joy and contentment.
